Jonas' First Day of School

Today was Jonas' first day of going to school with Arwen! He's only going 2 days-a-week for now, as opposed to Arwen's 3 days. He's a lot younger than Arwen was when she started going, but he seemed to do really well. Everyone was commenting on how much he looked like his big sister and one lady said, "He's such an easy baby...NOT like Arwen!" LOL! It's funny how their personalities get established so early. We're proud of our big boy!

SNOW DAY!!!

Like most of the country last week/weekend we got snowed in on Friday and were pretty much stuck at home for 2 days when we had planned to be in Oklahoma for Papa Eck's birthday. We were disappointed about missing the trip, but made the most of an unexpected weekend at home. Here are some pics of me and Arwen having fun in the snow...and an adorable Jonas pic too, of course. :)

Arwen's 2nd Haircut!

Today Arwen and I went to Brother's Hair Salon for hair cuts. She was REALLY excited! This is only her 2nd hair cut and the first was so long ago she doesn't remember it. We only trimmed of a couple of inches, but it was a big moment for her. Afterwards, Lyndsey taught Arwen how to "work it" and they modeled up and down the salon for everyone. That's what she's doing in the last 2 pics. Too fun!

Eck Halloween 2010

This past weekend was one of Arwen's favorite days of the year, Halloween! Arwen wanted to be a kitty cat this year, and we found a little bat costume for Jonas, so we had the cat and bat! I put together a last-minute Cyclops (Leader of the X-Men) costume using an X-Men movie replica visor (a gift from cousin David from a few years back), some black clothes and a roll of yellow duct tape. We went to a trunk-or-treat celebration last weekend at a church in Bossier City and then went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood Halloween night. She makes a great kitty!

Jonas Update

Well, we're 2 weeks, 3 days into life as a family of 4 and things are going pretty good. Jonas is a pretty mellow guy who sleeps most of the day away and eats the rest. Arwen is enjoying being a big sister and loves to help out. She got a cold last weekend, but I think we have successfully kept Jonas out of the danger zone. The only thing that worries me is that he's showing signs of being a Philadelphia Eagles fan. First he got upset when I started beating the Eagles with the Cowboys on the Playstation. A few days later, he gets upset when they made a bad play against the 49ers on Sunday. I don't know what's going on here, but I think I need to take him on a trip to Arlington, STAT!
